This is the up-and-coming Wood Elf King from Reaper. Lemme tell ya; this is a fantastic sculpt of some equally inspiring concept art, but man, is this guy a task to paint. I spent waaay too much time on him and could easily sink another 16 hours into parts of the piece.

I really like the gold NMM; I think this was the first mini I've ever done where the gold really looks like gold. I also think the colors managed to get along and play nice even though they don't seem like they'd get along on paper.

Maybe if I get time one of these days I can hit him with some stronger highlights on the purple and a few other spots to make it the same quality of lighting throughout.
