This is Gabriella, Warmaiden of Ritterlich, from Reaper's Dark Heaven line (SKU2589). I had to paint this mini from the expression on her face alone; she's an absolute beauty, hands down.

I was going to go for a white/gold/blue combination for her, but once I painted the burnished bronze I felt I had to go for black and red; I think it makes her really stand out, especially with the blonde hair.

I painted the sword to look like it was etched in the center and had raised lettering down the blade. On the front side it says "Aequitas", Latin for Justice and Equality, and the back has Veritas (the sash obscures where the V would go) which means Truth.

I put a good fifteen hours or so into her when I was planning on doing a quicker job; she was just that much fun to paint, and I think the results made it worth it.
