Zak and Anne are raising Shiloh Shepherds, a fixing of the German Shepherds that gets rid of all the hip and other problems along with breeding for size and intelligence. This is Leo, their boy puppy. Yes, puppy, he's around one year and three-four months old. Height-wise he might be finished, but should have another 20-25lbs of muscle I believe (I think he's just over 100lb at the moment).

This is me, sitting right next to him on the couch. I'm 6' tall, for your frame of reference :).

So, while the size is definitely there, the brains are even more so. Leo and Kyrie, their other dog, are probably two of the smartest dogs I've met (yep, they even beat Yukon, sis). It's not just how quick they are to learn new things; they pay attention when people talk, can pick out words easily to understand what's wanted of them, and are just all-around swuft. Anyone who meets them can see the spark of intelligence in their eyes; they both have fantastic personalities too.

Leo's mah bud since we play chase in the backyard. When we all go over to their house on Saturdays he'll say hi to everyone, but constantly eye me, and if he catches my eye when he's at the back door he'll do the play bounce to let me know it's game time. He'll run juuuust fast enough to keep ahead of me, too, as we zig and zag around the yard. You can tell how much we dislike each other in this photo :).
